San Joaquin Medical Society has a rich history of community involvement over its 149 plus years of existence. Programs range from inspiring local students to become physicians through our Decision Medicine program to providing interest free loans to local students while in medical or nursing school through our Scholarship Loan Fund. SJMS is committed to giving back to this diverse community with the assistance of its physician members who volunteer to organize, staff and lead these exciting endeavors.
Bridge to Medicine
BTM is a selective program for high-achieving high school and college students who are committed to pursuing a career in medicine.
Decision Medicine
SJMS offers a 2-week immersive program for high school students interested in becoming physicians.
Scholarship Loan Fund
SJMS offers education loans for residents of San Joaquin, Alpine, Amador, Calaveras and Tuolumne Counties.
